New Global Setting: Hours Between Published Shifts

I'm requesting a Global Setting whereby the Home Manager is notified if a staff has published shifts that are within X hours of each other. Here is the concern: a DSP is scheduled to work a 12-hour shift at their Home Location that ends at 8:00AM, but then requests to pick up a 10-hour shift at another location that begins at 10:00AM. Yes, some DSPs need the hours to make ends meet so this actually happens.
However, we may not want DSPs to work long shifts with so little time in between to rest. Airline pilots, for example, have required rest time in between flying.
I envision the Global Setting to do 2 things:
- Notify the Home Manager if a staff has published shifts that are within X hours of each other.
- Flag the Manager when reviewing a shift coverage request that could result in 2 shifts that are within X hours of each other.
Thanks,
Eddie

We talked about this as well. We were hoping for some sort of stopgap that would prevent managers from scheduling staff for more than three 24-hour shifts in a row. For now, we're training the schedulers to be mindful of how many hours in a row they schedule.

This is a great idea, or even a way to add settings and hour caps. We don't allow team members to work more than a certain amount of hours per day and they must take an 8 hour break between certain shifts.
